EBRAINS is on a mission to revolutionise how neuroscience is conducted. The digital ecosystem that we provide enables advances in brain research that translate to innovations in neuroscience, healthcare and technology.
Who is EBRAINS
EBRAINS is Europe’s Digital Neuroscience Research Infrastructure, providing open access to computational modelling, brain atlases, shared digital analysis tools, and unique open datasets to advance brain research and medicine, enabling large-scale collaboration.
Through EBRAINS, scientists can perform complex analyses, using brain maps to facilitate neuroimaging, model the brain across scales, access supercomputers, and manage vast amounts of data. In this way, EBRAINS accelerates research and drives innovation in medical applications – such as exploring disease mechanisms through datasets and digital tools – and developing digital twins of the brain. Additionally, EBRAINS contributes to broader scientific advancements by fostering AI-driven neuroscience, supporting the creation of a European Health Data Space, and strengthening collaboration between research infrastructures.
The EBRAINS Summit Journey
The Human Brain Project (HBP) hosted several Summits across different cities in Europe between 2013 and 2023. The events acted as forums for stimulating and high-quality scientific exchange in different fields. Many European advances in the field of neurosciences, health and applications in clinical medicine, as well as brain-derived technologies were presented through lectures, debates, science markets, poster sessions, and more.
Now, EBRAINS hosts its own Summit in Brussels, to showcase how EBRAINS’ research infrastructure, digital tools and services are being actively used to advance neuroscience and drive innovation. The event will feature a scientific conference with leading experts, a public day to engage with the wider community, a poster session, and a science market exhibition. Attendees will also have networking opportunities to connect with peers and leaders in brain research.
