About the INCF

The EBRAINS Summit 2025 partners with the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) to support the shared mission of both organisations.

The INCF

INCF is an international non-profit organization that promotes the uptake of FAIR data management practices in neuroscience through the development of open and FAIR standards and best practices, training, and community building. The INCF network spans 4 continents and comprises academic groups, scientific non-profit organizations, and companies in the neuroscience/neurotech space. With over 15 years of experience in open, FAIR, and citable neuroscience, INCF catalyzes an active neuroinformatics community and convenes communities around training and development projects. INCF also offers FAIR consultancy services and fiscal sponsorships for projects within our scope.

Visit the INCF website (https://www.incf.org/) to learn more.

The Joint Day with INCF on Thursday 11 December will highlight our shared commitment to FAIR, open, and collaborative neuroscience.

Key Themes We'll Explore

The EBRAINS Summit 2025 is more than a series of presentations. It’s a space for ideas to collide, evolve, and inspire action. These are the key themes shaping this year’s conversations:

Brain health and disease prevention

From mental health to neurodegenerative disorders, this theme focuses on the latest advances in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. We’ll look at how research translates into real-world care and policy.

AI and neuro-inspired computing

Explore the intersection of neuroscience and artificial intelligence. How can understanding the brain help us design better machines—and what can machines teach us about ourselves?

Data infrastructures for neuroscience

Learn how large-scale data sharing and digital platforms are transforming the way researchers collaborate. This theme highlights EBRAINS’ role in building the digital foundations of modern brain science.

Research infrastructure and training

The future of neuroscience depends on accessible tools and well-equipped researchers. This theme looks at the importance of training, infrastructure, and cross-border collaboration for scientific progress.
