Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy at the European Commission, will deliver the welcome address at the EBRAINS Summit 2025.

Her presentation will take place on Tuesday, 9 December at 10:00. 

Earlier this year, during a visit at Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany, Executive Vice-President Virkkunen discovered more about how the EBRAINS Research Infrastructure is enabling neuroscientists to use the new generation of supercomputing and push the boundaries of AI. The Commissioner expressed enthusiasm for the scientific work: “This research is not only relevant for Europe, but globally.” Read more about her visit here.
